On 30-31/03/2019, the Committee for Overseas Vietnamese – Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Association of Vietnamese Scientists and Experts (AVSE Global) have co-organized Vietnam Global Leaders Forum 2019 in Paris, France.
The event attracted more than 300 delegates from all over the world with 200 of them are successful and influential Vietnamese from a wide range of professions. Participants are from over 25 countries and regions, representing various government bodies of Vietnam as well as enterprises from both Vietnam and France.
Delivering the opening speech, Prof. Nguyen Duc Khuong, President of AVSE Global stated:
“VGLF is the first step for a long-term strategy to attract and connect talents of Vietnam-origin in the world, together with the pioneering leaders of each industry to visualize and realize big ambitions. Thus, contribute to the overall development of Vietnam.”
After two days of intensive endeavor, fueled by unrestricted exchanged spirit and openness, the delegates participated in 7 working sessions encompassing 10 topics such as Shaping the country, The role of global talent network in developing a nation and its brand image, Nation branding: from culture, education to the people, Transformation of agriculture and traditional craft model, Digitalization, Smart tourism,… These are the strategic issues which needs answer, especially to an industrializing and modernizing Vietnam.
Through the discussions and presentations brought forth by esteemed guest speakers, the delegates were inspired and expressed their wish to be connected with each other and realize the Vietnamese Dream. To their expectations, Vietnam Global Leaders Network was established, aiming to contribute to sustainably developed and prosperous Vietnam through activities such as cooperation, information exchange, consultancy and training programs, seminars, investments,…
Within the official visit to France, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan – Chairwoman of the National Assembly of Vietnam had a meeting with representatives from Vietnam Global Leader Network in Paris. Ms. Ngan expressed high approval for the Forum, stating that this is the right time to connect Vietnamese minds and souls from everywhere with their homeland. She hoped that these first moves would be firm stepping stones for VGLF to continue our ancestors’ legacy, gradually making Vietnam more developed.
