Thanh Tung Nguyen hold a PhD degree in Geotechnical engineering, with highest honors, and a master degree in Soil and Rock mechanics from École des Ponts ParisTech (ENPC), France. His areas of expertise include Geotechnical testings, Soil mechanics, Hydrogeology, Internal erosion, Hydraulic fracturing, Filtration and Plugging of the granular medium, Microscopic analysis of granular material (X-ray Computed Tomography, Optical Microscopy)

He has been teaching geotechnical testings courses at École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées.

In addition to his expertise in his field, he is also very passionate about the field of management, especially in the area of human resources management and development. He has held managerial positions and leadership roles in various organizations he has been a part of for many years.
