OVERVIEW
Energy and Marine Network (EMNet) brings together a Vietnamese community of expertise in the energy sector and the sustainable development of the oceans. Through a wide-range of activities including conferences, trainings, consultancy services, etc., EMNet will provide platforms for efficient cross-border network, knowledge exchange and strategic research and development.
Network Director
Dat Vu Khoa Huynh, PhD
Khoa is currently a Senior Geotechnical Adviser at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI), Norway. He holds a Ph.D. in Geomechanics from Institut polytechnique de Grenoble, France, where he focused on analysing and predicting the instability and bifurcation phenomena in soils.
Khoa’s background includes nearly 20 years of consulting and research experience with expertise in the area of geotechnical engineering; foundation design, both offshore, nearshore and onshore; natural processes (landslide hazard, subsidence and erosion); and slope stability, embankments.
Khoa has wide management experience, both as a project manager and research scientist at NGI. He has also been coordinator/member of several European projects including LESSLOSS (Risk Mitigation for Earthquakes and Landslides), GEO-INSTALL (Modelling installation effects in geotechnical engineering), SafeLand (Living with landslide risk in Europe: Assessment, effects of global change, and risk management strategies).
